Veterans Tree & WRVEC Receive Top Honors

The Branson Christmas Coalition’s (BCC's) 2017 Leadership Award was presented to White River Valley Electric Cooperative (WRVEC) for their coordination of the new tree at Veterans Memorial Garden. WRVEC led the collaborative efforts of the Branson Veterans Task Force, Silver Dollar City and Veterans Memorial Garden that made this Christmas tree possible for the first time last year. The 26’ tall, artificial Giant Everest Christmas tree was lit with 2,088 soft white LED lights and decorated with 45 blue, gold and silver stars in honor of military families and those they love.

Peter Herschend, co-founder of Herschend Family Entertainment and President of the Branson Christmas Coalition presented the award, along with Ann McDowell, the Coalition's Executive Director to Rod Romine, Chief Operating Officer for WRVEC.
