NEW Chick-fil-A Lighting
NEW CHICK-FIL-A HOLIDAY LIGHTING DISPLAY
Main Street in Branson Set to Shine Like NEVER Before!
BRANSON, MO | Thursday, October 21, 2021 – The Branson Christmas Coalition has been working with the Chick-fil-A Branson restaurant located at 607 West Main Street to initiate a landmark holiday lighting display for the 2021 Christmas season. Nearly 16,000 feet of lighting and 34,000 LED bulbs will cover the upper level of the building on all four sides and the ground level on the east side, plus a 24’ Christmas tree of lights will be placed onthe roof of the popular restaurant.
“It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for a while, explained Kevin Hutcheson, operator of the Chick-fil-A Branson. “Several Chick-fil-As around the country heavily light their locations for the holiday season. I thought it would be perfect for Branson, since the community is so engaged in the Christmas season, so I talked to my fellow operators to learn more about their success with it.”
“When we approached Kevin,” recounts Peter Herschend, Co-founder of Silver Dollar City and Founder/Chairman of the Branson Christmas Coalition, “he was excited about supporting the community with a spectacular holiday light display, but he needed a plan to would assure it looked fantastic and was efficient to install, remove and store each year. We knew we could help with that!”
The Branson Christmas Coalition employed a professional holiday lighting designer to create a unique and impressive look for the store and helped source vendors for the lights and fixtures required. The restaurant’s entire lighting display has been custom designed and built for this location.
“The holiday lighting designer we brought in from Florida spent three days in Branson creating a plan for Chick-fil-A and developing design concepts for other locations around the city,” reported Ann McDowell, Executive Director of the Branson Christmas Coalition. “We’re hoping that Chick-fil-A’s bright and shining example will inspire other businesses to do similar light installations and the Coalition can again help with designs, ideas, vendors and other resources.”
The Chick-fil-A Branson is tackling their installation over time. The 2021 implementation is about half of the full plan for holiday lighting at the restaurant. More light trees and a drive-through tunnel of light are part of the full design concept and anticipated over the next two to three years.
“This is a significant investment for us and a way to support our community’s efforts to grow and enhance the Ozark Mountain Christmas season,” continues Hutcheson. “In addition to serving great chicken and providing great service, this lighting package will help create a great holiday experience for our customers. It’s all about making Branson a stellar and very merry Christmas destination.”
Area businesses and organizations can participate in building the holiday season by joining the Branson Christmas Coalition and by decorating, especially with Christmas trees, their properties throughout the region. The Branson Christmas Coalition is a non-profit organization whose members are dedicated to growing visitation and enhancing the Ozark Mountain Christmas season for everyone in this region.
