The Branson Christmas Coalition, made up of more than 40 local businesses and organizations throughout the region, works year-round to unite the area for the holiday magic that is presented in Ozark Mountain Country each year.

“A world-class Christmas destination doesn’t happen easily or automatically,” explains Elizabeth Hughes, Executive Director of the Branson Christmas Coalition. “It requires a year-long effort with intentionality and most importantly area wide collaboration.”

The Coalition, always striving to enhance the region and serve its members, is sharing Ozark Mountain Christmas news for the coming season and beyond.

  •  In cooperation with Silver Dollar City, the Coalition co-commissioned consumer research to better understand the growth potential of all five Branson seasons (winter, spring, summer, fall and Christmas). The Independent research confirms that Christmas is one of Branson’s greatest competitive advantages and a smart place to invest for future growth. This visitation data, comparing Branson and our competitive destinations, will help shape strategic direction for the Coalition and can benefit the region in the years to come.
  • The Coalition, along with The Tracks Family Fun Parks, Branson Ferris Wheel, and Branson Helicopter Tours, are again collaborating on the giant Christmas tree on W. 76 Country Boulevard that will be covered in new red, white and blue décor for our country’s 250th birthday celebration. This tree’s lights sync with The Branson Ferris Wheel’s "Electrify," a 6-minute choreographed music and light show presented hourly after dark and is free to view.
  • Already greatly anticipated, the Coalition is welcoming the new, European-style Christkindl Market at The Shoppes at Branson Meadows (4562 Gretna Rd) with a 26’ tall Giant Everest artificial Christmas tree. The free European-style holiday market will feature traditional artisan shopping, seasonal tastes, and beautiful Christmas décor and lights.
  • Thanks to the generosity of the White River Valley Electric Cooperative’s Plugged In Grant–the Coalition was able to partner with Forsyth High School to fabricate 26 custom lighted snowflakes that will adorn the lampposts throughout Forsyth this Christmas season and for decades to come. The WRVEC grant covered a large portion of the project.  If you would like to sponsor lights on the snowflakes, reach out to Elizabeth Hughes at 417-527-0399 or director@bransonchristmas.org.
  • Recently, the Coalition also teamed up with the Veterans Memorial Garden to beautifully repurpose and relocate the giant, five-pointed Adoration Star (replaced after tornado damage to the scene on Mount Branson) to 1107 West Main Street for year-round display.

“Our community has always prospered when we work together for everyone’s benefit,” describes Hughes. “These are just a few examples of the many ways the Branson Christmas Coalition shares resources, collaborates with partners, and helps pull this amazing area together to grow and succeed as one spectacular Christmas experience.”
